Breastfeeding

The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND), and World Health Organization (WHO) all agree that babies should be breastfed exclusively for the first 6 months of life and then with complementary foods until their second year.  Our Certified Lactation Counselor and Breastfeeding Peer Counselor are available to help you meet your breastfeeding goals. They assist new breastfeeding moms by providing them support in the form of experience and specialized training.  If you are pregnant and thinking about breastfeeding, or are breastfeeding, please call for more information.  PLEASE NOTE:  You must be enrolled in WIC to utilize the Breastfeeding Peer Counselor Program.
